Celebrations at ‘outstanding’ Werby’s

St Werburgh’s & St Columba’s Catholic Primary School have recently been rated “outstanding” by the Diocese of Shrewsbury in their Religious Inspection report.

The report praised the children for their “incredible respect and care for each other”. The report stated that “parent responses were overwhelmingly positive of the school.”

It recognised pupils’ involvement in the wider community, their academic achievements and the children’s “obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm for their Religious Education lessons”.

Headteacher Kathryn Oates said “I am very proud of all the children, staff, parents and governors at St Werburgh’s & St Columba’s.”

“This judgment is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone working together in the school. St Werburgh’s & St Columba’s is a very special place and I am honoured to be the headteacher.”
